For sale is a vintage, sample size JOHN BARTLEY’S PERFECTION PAINT CLEANER TIN made by the John t. Bartley & Company, Beaver Falls, PA. This rare green tin measures about 2″ tall and 3 1/4″ in diameter. The tin has a partial paper label on the tin from the Richmond Glass Shop which has a 5-digit phone number. This tin is believed to date to the 1920s. John T. Bartley’s Perfection Paint Cleaner was meant for cleaning painted surfaces, enameled stoves, refrigerators, painted walls, pans, silver, tile, linoleum, carpets, and even dirty hands. Surely there aren’t many of these around. A great advertising collectible.
