1938 ADVERTISING PINUP CALENDAR – “THE ARTIST’S MODEL”

For sale is a rare original 1938 ADVERTISING PINUP CALENDAR for Best Movers Long Distance & Storage Company, 379 W. Exchange Street.  Calendar features pin up art by an unknown artist of a nude woman posing with a strategically placed cloth bow entitled “THE ARTIST’S MODEL”.  The moving company is believed to was based in Akron, Ohio. The company’s phone number on the calendar is a 5-digit number. The top illustration is a flap that lifts up to reveal a page to record phone numbers and a chart of famous peoples birthdays which include birthdays for Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Oliver Holmes, Mark Twain and others. The tintogravure calendar illustration measures about 11 inches by 8 inches. The calendar’s overall dimensions are 17 inches by 10 inches. The calendar is in excellent condition. The paper calendar includes all 12 months and has no markings or tears. A first rate pin up advertising collectible.
