For sale is a vintage DESERT BRAND CANVAS WATER BAG made by the Ames Harris Neville Company, San Francisco, CA. Water bag is in good condition with no holes or tears but the top of the bag needs to be resewed. The bag also has minor stains consistent with age. Bag has a metal cap that clamps shut. Bag measures about 14 inches by 12 inches. Front of the bag has great graphics and the company logo of a crossed pick and shovel. This item probably dates to the 1920s or 1930s. The water bags were sold to hang off of the front of old Model T Cars crossing the desert. The bags would hold a few gallons of water for use in an emergency. Great item for display.
