For sale is a working antique 1921 JAZZBO JIM, the Dancer on the Roof, WIND UP TIN TOY made by the Unique Art Manufacturing Company, Newark, NJ. The Ferdinand Strauss Company paid patent royalties to the Unique Art to use its “jigger toy” or dancing toy mechanism. This snazzy dressed dancer does a fast quick step when wound up and the button is pushed to “Start” on the house panel. Depicted on the red tiled roofed house are 1920 era drawings of Black Americana. The toy stands about 10 inches tall. This working lithographic tin toy is in excellent condition with minimal wear. A tremendous collectible wind up toy.
