In 1837, after George Wostenholm’s son joined his business, he renamed his company “George Wostenholm & Son”. The company operated out of the Rockingham Works facility until 1847. After 1847, the company manufactured razors from the Washington Works in Sheffield. During the 1800s, some of the company razors were marked “George Wostenholm & Sons” which indicates that the “Sons” variation was used on products or in branding prior to 1875 when the company was incorporated as “George Wostenholm & Son, Limited”.
