For sale is a vintage unused Rumford Baking Powder Advertising note book. This is a Premium Advertising piece given to the stores to help them with the sale of the Rumford Baking Powder product and other products that the store would sell. Note pad measures 8 inches tall by 4 inches wide. The back two pages instructs the store “How to Figure Profits”. The other 45 pages are columned note book pages. It is complete without any tears or water stains. The pages are uniformly discolored with age. One page has a pencil scribble. The Rumford Company, Providence, Rhode Island, were the makers of Rumford Baking Powder. The Rumford Chemical Works in 1856 began producing and shipping baking powder across the nation and around the world. At the turn of the 19th century, Rumford Chemical included 300 acres of working farms and communities to sustain the factory workers, and the Village of Rumford was called the “kitchen capital of the world.”
