Heavy brass nautical gauge mounted on an inch thick beveled walnut board. The exact age of the vintage gauge is unknown but it was used on a steam boat. Genuine Ashcroft American, maritime pressure gauge from late 1800s. Measures up to 100 psi. Gauge is marked: “Evaporator Pump Discharge”. Vintage Ashcroft gauges are highly collectible. The corner of the walnut backing includes a medallion depicting King Neptune with the latin inscription of “ImperiumNeptuni Regis”. Bottom of board has felt dots to prevent scratching.
The gauge itself measures 5 and ½ inches deep. The mounting board measures about 5 inches by 13 inches.
