For sale is a vintage OUTSIDE DIAMETER CALIPERS made by Consolidated Tool Works, New York City. This tool is marked with the company’s logo and is in excellent condition. The instrument measures about 6 inches long. The calipers maximum spread is 5 3/4 inches. A top rate collectible tool.
The Consolidated Tool Works operated in New York City between 1890 and into the 1920s. Their distinctive company trademark featured a ships’ helm wheel. Consolidated sold a number of tools including machinist’s tools, drills, iron planes and braces.
