For sale is a rare ANTIQUE BEECH NUT BRAND BEVERAGE CRATE from Beech-Nut Packing Company, Canajoharie, NY. This sturdy wooden crate with dovetail corners is in excellent condition and probably dates to the 1920s. This crate was used to ship 24 soda bottles and has two indented carry handles on the side. The two short sides of the crate are marked “24 Bottles Each Containing 15 1/3 Fl. Oz. – Beech-Nut Brand Beverages – Beech-Nut Packing Co., Canajoharie, NY. U.S.A.” The crate measures 18 1/2 inches long, 12 inches wide, and 10 1/2 inches tall. An amazing antique soda crate.

An cool feature of this crate is that the original half circular cardboard insert with the soda flavor “Ginger Ale” printed on it is present on the crate. This listing includes a picture of a Beech-Nut Advert to illustrate the crate’s time period of display the soda bottles which would have been shipped with the crate. The crate sale does not include this advert.

The Beech-Nut Packing Company, previously known as the Imperial Packing Company was founded in 1891 in upstate New York. In 1919, the company’s plant in Canajoharie, New York featured a large “Beech-Nut Ginger Ale” sign on the roof.
