For sale is a large 1950s era CASHMERE BOUQUET WHITE TALCUM POWDER TIN made by the the Colgate-Palmolive Company, NY, NY. This 6 1/2 oz size tin with partial contents is in excellent condition with strong color. The front features a nice floral graphic. The back includes the brands slogan: “Cashmere Bouquet The Talc With The Fragrance Men Love”. This tin stands about 6 1/4 inches tall and 3 3/4 inches wide. Hard to find this tin in this large size. Great vintage collectible.
This CASHMERE BOUQUET brand is better known for its soap. CASHMERE BOUQUET SOAP, “The Fragrance Men Love”, was made by the Colgate-Palmolive-Peet Co. In 1928, Palmolive-Peet bought the Colgate Company to create the Colgate-Palmolive-Peet Company. In 1953, “Peet” was dropped from the title, leaving only “Colgate-Palmolive Company”, the current name. This vintage tin was made after 1953.
