For sale is a 1942 US ARMY PUBLICATION entitled “ATTACK: THE STORY OF THE UNITED STATES ARMY” which provides a photo essay history of the Army, with descriptions of different career fields, and many, many pictures. The cover features a color drawing of three soldiers charging an enemy position. This book is complete and in good condition but the spine of the magazine is starting to fail. Back in the day instead of the Department of Defense lead by the Secretary of Defense, we had the Department of War lead by the Secretary of War. Provides great insight on all of the equipment and various specialties paratroopers, aerial gunner, aerial navigator, para-ski troops, medical the Army needed to wage WWII. An interesting WWII era collectible.
