1940s Vintage swirled PEPSI bottle – Embossed Glass – Patent Date

For Sale is a vintage 1940’S PEPSI COLA POP BOTTLE in excellent condition. This thick glass bottle has a crackle glass style neck and measures about 9.5″ tall with a 2.5″ diameter base. The following is embossed on the bottom: “DES. PAT. 120.277; 14A 41 8 with an anchor symbol. The Patent dates to April of 1940 by James Steelman. Some refer to this style bottle as the Wave bottle. “PEPSI COLA” is embossed six different times around the mid-section of the bottle. Bottle has a small chip on the base but looks pretty nice otherwise.
