For sale is a vintage TEXTILE MILL LOOM SHUTTLE, BOAT SHUTTLE, FLY SHUTTLE or SHUTTLE BOBBIN for weaving. This interesting wooden primitive Textile Mill Shuttle would have been used to carry the filling yarns, which interlaced with the warp yarns (stretched on the loom) to make the cloth as the weaver passed the shuttle from side to side, hand to hand. The shuttle is marked “M3477-18”. The bobbin is metal tipped and measures about 16 1/2 inches in length and 1 7/8 inches wide. A fun gift for any sewing enthusiast, wanted film fan, or someone who appreciates vintage industrial décor.
