For sale is a super clean ribbed 1920s ORANGE CRUSH Bottle from the Coca Cola Bottling Co. Embossed text is as follows: “PAT’D JULY 20, 1920 ORANGE CRUSH BOTTLE 6 FL OZS”. Bottom is embossed “Washington DC”. Bottle stands about 7 and 1/2 inches tall. A must have for any soda bottle collection.

In 1911, Clayton J. Howel, president and founder of the Orange Crush Company, partnered with Neil C. Ward. Ward made the recipe for Orange Crush. Crush was first premiered as Ward’s Orange Crush. Originally, Orange Crush included orange pulp in the bottles, giving it a “fresh squeezed” illusion even though the pulp was added rather than remaining from squeezed oranges. Pulp has not been in the bottles for decades.
