For sale is an antique late 1800s ENTERPRISE COFFEE GRINDER No 1 from the Enterprise Manufacturing Company, Philadelphia, PA. This incredible heavy cast iron coffee grinder is rust free and is in great condition. The grinder has been mounted on a hefty solid mahogany wood block. This incredible coffee grinder has a wood handle and has embossed lettering on the base of the grinder. One side has the text: “Enterprise MFG. Co. Philadelphia, U.S.A.” The grinder is missing the bolt that adjusts the setting of the grinding wheel. The grinding wheel is marked with an April 13, 1875 patent date. The grinder has a metal drawer with a porcelain knob. The grinder and stand together over measure about 14 inches tall and about 11 inches wide including the handle. The grinder opening is about 5 inches wide. A rare one-of-a-kind display item for your kitchen.

The Enterprise Manufacturing Company was founded in 1864. The company made cast-iron equipment for chopping, grinding, slicing, and stuffing meats and other food. It also made sad irons for several years.
