For sale is an early 1900s HUTCHINSON GLASS BOTTLE with the original stopper made by Gorge M. White Bottler, Cairo, NY. This thick heavy, blob top bottle has embossed glass that reads: “GEO M. WHITE BOTTLER – CAIRO N.Y. – CONTENTS 7 OZ – REGISTERED”. Bottle is very clear but has an odd defect or damage area. Bottle stands about 7 inches tall. A great collectible bottle.

Charles G. Hutchinson invented and patented the Hutchinson Patent Stopper in 1879 as a replacement for cork bottle stoppers which were commonly being used as stoppers on soda water or pop bottles. His invention employed a wire spring attached to a rubber seal. The Hutchinson Soda Water bottle, called “hutch” for short, was in use around 1880-1910. Hutch bottles have a unique shape.
