For sale is a DANBURY MINT DIECAST 1953 CHEVY PICKUP TRUCK. This incredibly realistic 1:24 scale model was sold by the Danbury Mint in 1993. This was special limited edition model which was limited to 500 pieces. The juniper green model duplicates the full size 1953 Chevy truck down to the tiniest details, to include the truck’s whippy radio antenna. Both doors open showing floor pedals, a stick shift and a dashboard complete with minuscule gauges, even radio knobs. The front wheels turn. Under the hood is a tiny “engine.” The tailgate opens and closes, and is complete with miniature “chains” just like the actual trucks were equipped with. The mechanical details of the trucks’ undercarriage are extremely accurate. The model is in very good condition. The truck measures approximately 8-1/2 inches long, 3 inches wide and 3 inches tall. The 1-1/2 pound metal model is heavy for its size. A first rate collectible model car.
