For sale is an original 1962 PENNSYLVANIA RAILROAD COMPANY STOCK CERTIFICATE. This certificate in the amount of 46 shares was issued to the Gregory & Sons Company. This certificate features a detailed graphic of two oncoming locomotives on parallels tracks in a mountain pass. This certificate has some minor tears but displays well.  The certificate is double sided and measures about 12 inches by 8 inches. A great collectible for any railroad enthusiast.

In 1846, the Pennsylvania legislature chartered the Pennsylvania Railroad Company to build a line between Harrisburg and Pittsburgh. In 1848, the company’s passenger train commenced operations on that line. This railroad was the largest of the trunkline railroads that connected the East Coast of the United States with the interior.
