In 1909, the Good Housekeeping Seal for consumer products was launched.  Any product that withstands the investigation of the Institute staff is eligible to be included in the newly developed “Tested and Approved” products and published in the Good Housekeeping magazine. In 1941, the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval was changed to the Good Housekeeping Seal. Products with the Seal were tested by the Good Housekeeping Institute and backed by a two-year warranty. Judging by the seal used on this carton, it would have been made after 1941.
