For sale is a 1940s era DILL’S BEST TOBACCO TIN made by the J.G. Dill Company, Richmond, VA. This yellow lithograph tin with a hinged lid is very good condition with great graphics. It’s difficult to find a DILL’s BEST vertical pocket tobacco tin as good as this one. There is an embossed strike on the bottom. T his very attractive bright yellow tin with gold and red lettering features “Dill’s Best” trademark image of a woman wearing a red and white peasant dress with her hands clasped on top of her head. The tin measures about 4 1/2 inches by 3 inches by 1 inch. A top notch tobacco collectible with great local history.

One of the oldest American tobacco brands is Dill’s. J.G. Dill was once a great Virginia tobacco company, known worldwide for its Dill’s Best pipe tobacco. The company starting selling “Dill’s Best” in 1848.
