For sale is an original 1877 CITY OF BURLINGTON WATER BILL from Burlington, Vermont. This utility bill in the amount of $3.50 was charged to Mr. A. Robbins for six-months of water service. Note that water rate is determined by the number of faucets available to the family household. The bill is also interesting because Mr. Robbins apparently challenged the additional charge by owning a garden hose. The receipt measures 8 inches by 5 3/8 inches. An interesting collectible.
