The 1920s era bottle label was from the Western Bottling Works, 3136 Army Street, San Francisco, CA. This company sold the following beverage flavors: Sarsaparilla, Imitation Iron Beer, Pure Apple Cider, Lemon Soda, and Imitation Raspberry Soda. Bottle stands 8 inches tall. A great collectible soda bottle and label.
In 1917, Iron beer was created in Cuba by Manuel Rabanal. The drink has been described as a fruiter Dr. Pepper. The Western Bottling Works probably sold imitation iron beer because they lacked the rights to sell the original iron beer.
