For sale is an original 1920s YALE FISH EYE FLASHLIGHT MODEL 102 from the Yale Electric Corporation, Brooklyn, NY. An unusual design feature of this flashlight is that it as a vulcanite (hard rubber) ribbed body with nickel-plated silver metal head and end caps. This iconic flashlight measures about 7 inches long and has a 1 3/4 inch diameter glass lens. The battery end cap is marked with a great Yale logo. The flashlight would use two “D” cell batteries, which were originally referred to as No. 102 mono cells. The battery powered flashlight is untested. A superb collectible flashlight.

In 1912, Samuel I. Posen, Joseph Block, and Morduch L. Kaplan founded the Yale Electric Corporation in 1912 in Brooklyn, NY to make batteries and flashlights. In 1927, the Yale Electric Company was purchased by the Bond Electric Company.

A “fisheye” Eveready flashlight lens refers to the vintage, bubble-shaped glass lens on older flashlights. This unique lens design was used on some collectible vintage Eveready flashlights to created a wide, circular beam that spread light across a broad area, unlike the focused beams of modern flashlights.
