For sale is a VINTAGE HIPCO CHROME FLASHLIGHT. This chrome flashlight has a ribbed design with a slide switch. This tall flashlight stands about 7 1/4 inches tall and has a 2 1/4 inch diameter glass lens. This battery powered flashlight needs a replacement bulb. An entry level collectible flashlight.
During the 1940s, the Hipwell Manufacturing Company, based in Pittsburgh, started selling Hipco flashlights. Their initial flashlights were chrome-plated and durable. During the 1950s, they started making specialized toy flashlights which featured either a popular Western theme such as Davy Crocket or a Space themed such as Space Boy.
